My Home Sonoma County, California

Ink on a Road Trip

I had purchased an art journal for Inktober. It was a challenge to do just in on a gray paper. I picked ot my favorites.  Inspired by my road trip from Texas to Washington  state Oregon, California and back home though Arizonia and New Mexico.

What do you do when you don't like your watercolor? I cut it up into pieces that I do like.

Between Christmas and New Years I found some time to make some watercolors. I mostly am in a monotone phase.

10 Years of Blogging

I can't believe this blog has been hanging around for 10 years.I did get lazy and gave up on it for about 4 years! Looking at my past artwork I have posted here and great deal of it was gifted, traded, and sold to the lowest bidder. I was encourage by a friend to "put your stuff out there". I mostly use this space as "art therapy" for me, and I hope some minor enjoyment for those who visit or pass through.

Skinny Artwork

I love to draw, paint, ink narrow skinny artwork. This is a picture of an old farmhouse I passed in Illinois several years ago. It was a cold rainy day when I took the picture

Brown Book

I started this book in 2014. I found it at Dick Blick in San Francisco. It has paper the color of a paper bag. The first couple of pages I sampled different colored pencils, inks and watercolor. The paper was susceptible to bleed on the back side. I decided to do all my artwork on the right side of the page.

This picture and the three below were inspired by a road trip from
Fort Worth, Tx to San Francisc, Ca

After watching some video games I came up with some characters.

This is the beginning of 2015
