I first did a large background with inks, stamps and water color. Cut up the backgrounds to the sized then layered with images and more ink, stamps and watercolor. I added some gold acrylic paints to enhance some of the work like Gustav Klimt did.

Inspired by Gustav Klimt
These are "tall cards" for a Gustav Klimt swap. I tried to be more inspired than literal or copy his work. Since I am not gifted in the drawing of people I chose to use vintage images in keeping with the time period of Gustav Klimt.

Snow Kings
These are artist trading cards for a swap. They are snow kings. I tried a different style and technique from what I usually do. They are similar to the ones I made earlier (see below). I used Primsacolor markers to draw in picture, then with a .005 Micron pen went in the marker lines to add some extra detail.

Ball Point Pen Challenge
I use to doodle all the time with ball point pens. This is an artist trading card, for a swap ball point pen only medium. I love the effect of the pen skipping ink in the foreground. My inspiration was through some photographs of New Mexico.

New Year New Art
I am making a commitment to post art at least once a week. For this week are three artist trading cards I made to swap out. I usually use my very small Micron pens to draw, so these are pushing me to try something new.
I lightly drew out my pictures in pencil then outlined everything in Primsacolor markers. I went back with smaller ink pens to put in the tiny details. The last thing I used was a Q-tip with dry inks to make the cheeks.
