So what do you do with collage sheet left over bits? I took them and made this little journal book that I purchased from the dollar store. I took out three pages for every three I glued, since the paper was rather flimsy. All my images came from Ten Two Studios. The cover images are from Edwardian Beauties Rounds, Victorian Garden Rounds and Secret Garden Microscope Slides that I cut to fit the space.
The pink page came from the Pink themed collage sheet and more Victorian Garden Rounds. The page right below is from the Ocean Voyage collage sheet. All the fussy cutting is from a William Morris gift wrap paper.
The "maids in a row" are from the Edwardian Beauties rounds. The garden gate below is from the pink page collage sheet, along with some other William Morris paper.
The page with the butterflies have small butterflies from the Secret Garden Microscope slides. The large ones are from a book about bugs I have been cutting out of. The foreground boats are from the Ocean Voyage collage sheet. The ships in the back ground are from some papers I purchased from Flax art store in San Francisco.
This page is from the Yellow collage sheet along with Secret Garden microscope slide and tags have the yellow faux postage like the one on the pocket.
I am in a matchbox swap at Art 42. Here are my boxes, the far left one has a travel/explore theme, the middle is a tea party, on the right is a Mardi Gras theme.
Here is a book I made with different size tabs, tags, ribbon, dictionary pages and Dickens images from Ten Two Studios. I am still not sure what to do to the outside of the book since it is so plain.
I chose to do Dicken's "David Copperfield" because it is one of my favorite books and the images seem to fit the story nicely.
The first thing I did was to stamp all my "pages" with different backgrounds. I wanted to leave much of the original color of the tabs to make the images stand out. On my tags above I chose the characters and stamped their names on the dictionary pages. The last tag is glued to the page so the back of the brad does not show. It makes a nice fan.
On these pages I used three different tabs to fit with what I wanted to do. As you can see the smaller ones open to make more "pages" to my book.
I was able to figure out how to make smaller tab pages fit in the spine of my book. It took a little paper engineering to make it work.
The bottom page has a smaller tab page book glued to a larger page with a ribbon to hold it shut. Hope you enjoyed my book, of course not all the pages were shown.

I am in a Moleskin Project at IllustratedATCs.com. There are eight artist involved in this round robin. My theme is "scapes", landscapes, city scapes, office scapes, water scapes, space scapes, you get the idea. We are to work in four panels in each others' book. I want my pages to flow together so it looks like one huge mural when it is finished.

These cards were made for an artist trading card swap at IllustratedATCs. Some how I have been swept into Marie Antoinette art of some kind or another. She was a very fascinating person and I think that she will be looked upon differently in the future.
This folded house came from Ten Two Studios along with all the Victorian images. The background is book pages from a book I was altering. I added some buttons and other paper cutouts. I distressed it with inks and chalks. It makes a fun little row of houses that sit nice on a shelf.
Here is a little fun thing for a swap called Fish Tales Hangie Danglie. I made a watercolor of a mermaid on one side and a collage on the back side so either side could show. I bought a fishing bobber and some lures. I carefully cut the hooks so they would not hurt anyone. I also strung together some beads and little sea shells.
The little images are from Ten Two Studios( April Fish), a Russian cigarette card with a fish on it, and the back ground is a fish label from a fish market.
The little collage images inspired me to make something other than a bracelet. The images are from Ten Two Studios "Dainty Dominos", they make fun shoe buckles.
The directions on how to make these slippers are found in a past issue, November 2008 issue of the Monthly Muse, which is also at Ten Two Studios. These slippers will be hanging in my Christmas tree or might make it for a gift for someone special.
The pages that had an opening, from the paper bag, had inserts inside of them with facts about Poe or the Poem. The images came from Ten Two Studio collage sheets. I used the Poe collage sheets, Harry Clarke faux postage, and Oakwood faux postage sheets.
This is a paper doll with a matchbox attached to it. I made the body and dress to fit the head image. She has brads on the arms and legs. I hid them with her dress.
