Inchie books

These are little inchie books made for a swap I am participating in at Illustrated ATCs. We were to make book of six inchies. Each book could not be bigger than 2.5x3.5 inches or the size of an artist trading card. The book above was a one inch by six strip drawn and watercolored. Then it was cut into one inch sections and glued to each page.

This book's pages were not cut but folded and glued to make one contiuous page. It is a watercolor on watercolor paper.

This book has a its pages fold out with three images on each side. The paper is actually a heat sensitive shipping label. After I inked in the art a carefully hit it with my heat gun to make the darkened background. Then I cut the art in one inch squares and put them on the folded pages.

This last book is Asian inspired book. It was drawn on a brown colored cardstock with ink then the "snow" was applied with white acrylic paint. It too is a continuous piece that was cut into one inch squares. The cover has that textured snow that most crafters use on their holilday art.
